July 10, 2009 ( PowerHomeBiz.com ) - Newaygo County, MI - Twelve Newaygo County, Michigan, business owners got together in the fall of 2009 and formed a women’s group that they could get together and socialize, network, help each other, and give back to the community with impact. They proudly named their group “Women Business Owners of Newaygo” and began meeting bi-weekly and planning their 1st project to raise money for the NCCS Camp Newaygo resident girl’s camp by way of selling 2010 personalized calendars
NCCS Camp Newaygo has provided high quality camping programs for girls and young women since 1926. Seventy-seven years of tradition is a powerful motivator. Tradition, a rich history and keeping in step with today’s young women are reasons that four generations of campers have returned to NCCS Camp Newaygo year after year – "and this is exactly why the group chose them for their 2010 project" says Keely Friar, “Miss June” and owner of Shabby to Chic Hair Boutique.
